Educational Improvement Tax Credits at Bethel Christian School (EITC)
EITC is a program that allows Pennsylvania tax credits to businesses when they contribute to qualified scholarship organizations such as the BCS Tuition Fund. Although BCS strives to be an affordable choice for families it costs money to maintain an excellent educational experience for our students. Your business can help!
A business will receive tax credits by designating tax dollars to the BCS Tuition Fund. Your contribution is awarded directly toward the tuition of qualifying students. In turn this allows Christ-centered learning opportunities to be accessible to families from all socio-economic backgrounds.
To Participate in EITC at Bethel Christian School
A business may take up to $300,000 in credits annually against taxes owed. Tax credits equal 75% of the donation for a 1-year commitment, a 90% credit for a 2-year commitment, or a 100% credit for a commitment to the Pre-K fund. Existing federal charitable deductions also apply.

Based on available funding, and presuming the business does not owe back taxes, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) will send approval to the applicant/business.
-
Upon approval, the business has 60 days to make its donation designated to Bethel Christian School of Erie, Pa through our authorized Scholarship Organization partner: ACSI, Children’s Tuition Fund, 845 Silver Spring Plaza, Lancaster, PA 17601-1183.
-
Acknowledgement will be provided to the business, which then has 90 days to send proof of its donation to the DCED. The tax credit is effective the first day of the taxable year in which the contribution is made.
